Northern Pakistan is beautiful. After all, that’s the “land of the pure” ! The recent talibanization of the area is not amazing. Because, on many aspects, people are still living like 100-200 years ago, why should they bother about the western world ?
Northern Pakistan is indeed beautiful. In fact walking up the mountain sides to remote villages in Upper Swat and Kohistan is like medieval time travel. You meet a 100 year man carrying firewood, bearded men on donkeys like a scene straight out pages of the bible and landscapes that takes your breathaway. All these with not a tourist or billboard in sight.
